Every year, Colas recycles and recovers more than 11 million metric tons of materials, from its own jobsites and deconstruction activities, as well as other construction and civil engineering projects and wider industry.
Once transformed, these materials are reused in construction or offered to third-party customers, with guaranteed quality and performance.

Recycling of Materials, Aggregates, and Asphalt Mixes
Colas recovers waste from:
- road construction, roads and main services, earthworks, and deconstruction projects
- other industrial sectors (glassware, ceramics, technical textiles, etc.),
- or complex waste (shoe soles, mirrors, etc.).
These materials are converted into:
- recycled aggregates
- asphalt mixes incorporating up to 100% recycled aggregates: Vegeroad, Scintiflex, Colstab Ostrea, Recycol, etc.

At the CORE Center, our global R&D facility, Colas develops technical products and services designed to improve the efficiency, traceability, and scope of recycling solutions.
Our research relates in particular to:
- in-situ pavement recycling, with bitumen emulsion or hydraulic binder,
- incorporation of recycled aggregates in asphalt mixes
- conversion of excavated earth into topsoil
- the use of industrial by-products (glassware, ceramics, etc.) as substitutes for natural resources.

In France, Colas proposes two service ranges dedicated to the circular economy:
- Ecotri: sorting, recycling, and traceability of construction site waste
- Valormat: supply of ready-to-use recycled materials
